Paarl Labels orders third MPS press
South Africa’s Paarl Labels has ordered an 8-color MPS UV flexo press through local agent Rotocon, its third purchase from the European press manufacturer.
Paarl Labels is one of 12 specialized printing operations of the Paarl Media Group, which services the country through its printing of all medium to long run requirements of magazines, retail inserts, catalogues, books, newspapers, commercial work, labels and educational materials.
The MPS EF multi-substrate 8-color UV flexo press ordered by Paarl Labels is an in-line model that features: MPS iControl technology, a management and service operator/machine interface to minimize operator errors; a UV air-cooled curing system to cure at the highest possible production speeds without compromise to the finished product; a multi-laminating unit providing self-adhesive, UV, self-wound and cold-foil lamination; mark to mark registration system; and die-cutting.
Luke Papadopoulos, managing director of Paarl Labels, said: ‘Our two UV flexo MPS presses have proven extremely effective and Rotocon has provided reliable service and support. We are pleased to invest in a third high-quality MPS press line to drive innovation and further expand our capacity and ability to offer fast turnaround times of high quality self-adhesive labels.’
