Komori demonstrates Lithrone S40 at open house

Komori is hosting an open house event from 24 to 26 September 2002 at the company’s European headquarters in Utrecht, The Netherlands to showcase the new Lithrone S40 and other technology developments on a range of Lithrone presses. Label printers can watch Komori run live demonstrations on a six-colour Lithrone S40 with coater. Agfa, Screen, Technotrans, Baldwin, Piab, Becker, Weko, Beil Register Systems,Van Son and Norboard will also present their latest systems and products in conjunction with the Komori demonstrations.
The Lithrone S is the next evolution of the Lithrone 40 family of B1 presses, and had its world launch at IPEX 2002.
The Lithrone S features a new modular design that enables greater flexibility in configurations up to 12 printing units. Features include automated makeready via the Komori CIP4 data converter, KHS one-shot colour matching and register adjustment, and a new cassette-less automatic plate changing system. Automatic cleaning and presets are also standard, and include a new automatic blanket washing system. Maximum running speed is 16,000 sheets per hour.
