New press launches at Labelexpo Americas

Major launches of new presses are promised at Labelexpo Americas in Chicago this September (10-12).

Gi Due launches an entry-level version of its Combat press, known as the Quadra, a limited configuration Combat, 4 colours 1 die-cut, without any retrofit possibility, and with ‘very aggressive’ pricing. The Quadra will be available in widths of 280 mm, 370 mm and 430 mm and retains the key ‘Flower’ technology concepts.

Nilpeter launches the FB line of flexographic printing presses, a US-built range which follows the company’s acquisition of the RotoPress brand. The FB line includes presses in 10 ” 13 ” and 16 ” web widths with high capacity drying systems incorporating nine air knives for each print station, allowing production speeds of up to 750 feet per minute.

Omet will give a worldwide premier to its Varyflex press which utilises a gearless print unit design and introduces sleeves into the narrow web flexo press environment.

PCMC shows an upgraded version of the classic Webtron machine incorporating more stable web handling and improved print unit performance.
Focus launches its Centraflex CI flexo press, a 250mmm wide, 6-colour machine which includes many features normally associated with larger, in-line presses, as well as a new interstation drying system, enabling higher press speeds. It has not currently been confirmed whether Focus will show a press at Labelexpo Americas
