Unilux unveils on-demand press proofing at Labelexpo Americas

Unilux, one of the leading designers and manufacturers of inspection systems for quality control, has collaborated with GlobalVision to develop UniPrint. It is a print monitoring system, that provides high-definition press proofing on a running roll-fed press.

The system will be on display in Unilux booth 3003 and GlobalVision booth 1621.

Mike Simonis, president of Unilux, commented: ‘We partnered with GlobalVision to bring inline press proofing to roll-fed printers who have only had access to this level of inspection on their sheetfed lines. Their proven software, when paired with our state-of-the-art print monitoring system, creates a completely new option for on-press inspection.’ 

It will provide the printers with the ability to compare print quality to a master proof on-press using industry standards for barcode grading and delta color. High-definition images captured by UniPrint are transferred to GlobalVision press proofing software for analysis on-demand. Operators are alerted of changes in quality in real-time and empowered to make corrections before the run is complete.

Localized service and support, easy operation and optional touchscreen controls make UniPrint a good option for quality control.
