Parkside implements global investments

Specialty packaging manufacturer Parkside is making significant investments at its sites in the UK and Asia, with overhauling its print capabilities a near-term focus.

Headquartered in the UK, Parkside is an international packaging manufacturer specializing in printing, lamination, laser, thermal and sustainable options for the food, drink and tobacco packaging industries. It also works in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, and the personal and household care markets. It operates manufacturing sites in both the UK and Asia.

A printing press from the company’s UK site in Normanton, West Yorkshire is being transferred to its Malaysian operations, with the installation of a new press at the UK site to occur shortly. These activities are being overseen by its new UK operations director Alex Henderson, who said: ‘Parkside has a tremendous growth strategy in place and is launching some fantastic new products to customers.’

Parkside’s UK manufacturing site is also undergoing a program of renovation and refurbishment, which Henderson is additionally responsible for.
