DuPont showcases sustainable flexo printing
DuPont Cyrel is presenting latest technologies alongside live demonstrations at Labelexpo Americas 2022, showcasing how to improve label printing and converting and create new business goals.
In its booth, DuPont focuses on high-performing innovative technologies to address label converters' challenges to achieve their sustainability, productivity, and quality goals.
Visitors can learn more about Cyrel Fast, a thermal platemaking system that consists of a thermal processor and a large variety of photopolymer printing plates for flexible packaging, labels and other applications.
The Cyrel Fast system offers productivity and performance improvements while helping to reduce processing costs, time, and environmental impact compared to the existing solvent methods. By eliminating the use of solvents, including water, from the platemaking process, the Cyrel Fast system doesn’t require drying time and plates can be ready for print in under 45 minutes.
The system is a result of more than two decades of continuous evolution and investment into this platform and has been installed in more than 1,500 locations globally. This year the company will reach another milestone of 200 installations of the latest version of the system, the Fast 2000 TD.
The company is also promoting the award-winning DuPont Cyrel Lightning plates delivering productivity and quality designed for LED exposure. The new plate family is optimized for UV-LED exposure units to use this system’s capabilities fully. The benefits of the plates include a further optimized match between access time and plate performance without compromising print quality.
‘We consider the show a great opportunity to get closer to the label converters and reinforce our solutions for a more sustainable printing in flexo,’ stated Tucker Norton, Cyrel general manager at DuPont.
