Hamillroad appoints Plastex as Bellissima trade shop in Eastern Europe
Pre-press company Hamillroad Software has appointed Plastex, a flexographic platemaker, to take its Bellissima DMS screening to the Slovakian and Hungarian markets.
Plastex operates across two locations, supplying flexo printing plates to printers across Slovakia and Hungary, and maintains direct relationships with brand owners.
Klaudia Maňúrová, production manager at Plastex, said: ‘We approached Hamillroad after receiving interest from our printing clients who want to trial the Bellissima screening technology. We were intrigued to plate and print the ultra-HD flexo results ourselves.
‘We have over 20 years of experience in flexo platemaking, and our customers rely on us to provide them with cutting-edge technologies to stay competitive. We look forward to working with Hamillroad and Bellissima to provide our customers with next-generation flexo. The whole team at Plastex is very pleased to secure a position within the growing Bellissima Network and can share this good news with our clients, a new horizon in flexo.’
Plastex will provide Bellissima DMS using MacDermid LUX ITP 60 and DuPont plates to its customers.
Commenting from MacDermid Graphics Solutions, Bryce Benson, territory manager for Nordics and Baltics, CIS, said: ‘Bellissima screening along with LUX ITP 60 technology is a proven solution to improve quality and consistency in flexo printing. With multiple plates and screening software options available, we are pleased Plastex chose to work with Hamillroad using our plates.’
Danielle Kinsella, marketing director at Hamillroad, added: ‘We are pleased to welcome Plastex to our network of Bellissima trade shops and converters. They are a fantastic fit, and we expect them to be very successful.
‘We’ve received significant interest in Bellissima from all around the world. The interest is coming from all stakeholders, but especially from flexible packaging printers looking to source plates. The network launched last month, and its members are already collaborating across projects with global brands looking to adopt Bellissima for flexo as a cheaper alternative to gravure.’
