Speedmaster XL 145 Hybrid

Speedmaster XL 145 Hybrid

Heidenreich Print, based in Bünde, Germany, is the first to use a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 145 for hybrid applications.  The six-color press, which was commissioned in May, has a coating unit that can be operated conventionally or, with three UV interdeck dryers and a UV dryer in its delivery, can be run as a hybrid/UV machine, as well.

In recent years, Heidenreich Print has built up a reputation as an experienced UV specialist in high-end printing, and now has a bank of Heidelberg presses including a Speedmaster CD 102-5+L, a Speedmaster XL 105-6+L UV, in addition to the new  Speedmaster XL 145-6+L UV.

Standardising with one press manufacturer has given the company more flexibility to respond to customer requirements, according to  managing director, Hendrik Heidenreich, who is also impressed with the user-friendliness of the Heidelberg presses: ‘In the past, we had to plan which operator would produce which orders on which machines and when.  We no longer have this problem,’ he said.

Established in 1991, Heidenreich Print has a workforce of around 60 and handles both high-quality subcontracted orders in the packaging and commercial sector.  The company's accolades include silver and bronze in the Sappi European Printer of the Year competition.
