Avery Dennison completes European Mactac acquisition
Avery Dennison has completed the acquisition of the European business of Mactac from Platinum Equity, a California-based private equity firm, for the purchase price of $224M USD (€200M EUR) including assumed debt.
The acquisition was announced in April and previously detailed here.
Mactac’s manufacturing facility in Soignies, Belgium, along with sales offices and warehouses in Europe and Asia, are now part of Avery Dennison’s global footprint. Export sales will continue to serve customers in South America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and North Africa.
The transaction does not include the Mactac business in the US, Canada and Mexico, which will continue to be owned by Platinum Equity.
