Herma names Dr Veit Rückel as technical director
Rückel is responsible for all technical departments of the self-adhesive materials of the packaging and product labeling specialist.
Herma has appointed Dr Veit Rückel, 46, as the new technical director for the self-adhesive materials division.
In his role with the specialist in packaging and product labeling, Rückel is responsible for managing all technical departments in the largest Herma division, including production planning, production and operating technology as well as process engineering.
A doctorate in mechanical engineering, Rückel was previously responsible for business operations at the Magnetec Group, an international manufacturer of nanocrystalline components that develops system solutions for the automotive, energy, safety and industrial sectors. Rückel was responsible for the business operations of all production sites there – in Hungary, Moldova, China and Vietnam, as well as for industrial engineering and purchasing.
Prior to this, the Bayreuth-born plant manager was at Walter AG, a leading German manufacturer of metal cutting tools based in Tübingen, Germany. He held further professional positions with several years in management positions at Audi and Continental.
Dr Guido Spachtholz, managing director of the Herma Group and head of the self-adhesive materials division, said: ‘In all of his previous roles, Dr Rückel has had a strong focus on automation, process optimization and continuous improvement. His extensive knowledge, analytical approach and practical application know-how in these areas will be invaluable to our continued drive for innovation in production and process engineering.
