Hybrid Software releases major enhancements for iC3D

Users will experience a boost in their design efficiency and overall 3D experience.

Hybrid Software has released a new version the iC3D bringing significant enhancements and essential fixes.

iC3D version 10 integrates Capture 3D, precise grid management for accurate deformation and modelling within Packz.

The new version features an advanced warping template integrated with the Capture 3D distortion software for metal cans. This allows users to select scanned model data, set parameters for the distortion grid, and generate designs for use in Packz.

The OpenGL viewer is improved for more realistic material rendering and works with the newest version of 3D Proofscope for more right-first-time approvals.

iC3D 10 users can now scale bottle models up or down in size accurately by simply inserting the desired volumetric number. This new option within Transforms allows users to adjust a model’s size using volumetric information. It is beneficial for creating accurate bottle models, enabling scaling based on volumetric calculations.

The latest update also includes time-saving functionalities, such as keyboard shortcuts to switch between the OpenGL and Ray Tracing windows, which improve user experience and allow users to create 3D models more rapidly.

‘Our tenth release of iC3D is a testament to our continued innovation on behalf of packaging professionals,’ said Heath Luetkens, Hybrid Software business manager for 3D graphics. ‘The deep integration with our recently acquired Capture 3D technology for accurate metal can printing strengthens our comprehensive solution suite for both brands and packaging converters, delivering a high-quality suite of tools trusted by the entire value chain.’
