Overprinting, coding and marking on label applicators
Label imprinting is pretty much a standard option for today’s applicator technology and can be regarded as a key driver of pressure-sensitive labeling. A wide range of label users need to add some kind of last minute product or shipping information, and there are various ways that this can be done, depending on whether the labeler is hand-held, semi-automatic or automatic - or even on or over a conveyor or other handling system.
With hand-held labelers the requirement will be for a relatively simple, lightweight, mechanical printing unit with an inking roller or pad that can print up to three lines of limited information immediately prior to dispensing and applying the label.
