MBR Flexibles invests in two Mark Andy presses

Both the flexographic presses are from Flexo Image Graphics.

Ahmedabad, India-based MBR Flexibles, a division of MBR group, has installed two Mark Andy presses—Mark Andy 2200 and Mark Andy Evolution Series E5, to bolster its overall printing and production of labels and flexible packaging offerings. Both the flexographic presses are from Flexo Image Graphics (FIG).

MBR group was established in the 1960s when the company’s mainstay of business revolved around dye chemicals, textile auxiliaries and bulk intermediates. As an imperative division of the group, MBR Flexibles was created in 2010. Its one unit is engaged in flexible packaging manufacturing while another unit is engaged in label printing. The division’s production facility is standardizing with the installations of both the Mark Andy presses.

Sahil Chopra and Yash Chopra take care of the label printing unit as directors. Whereas, Siddharth Chopra, Sagar Chopra and Mohit Chopra take care of the flexible packaging division as directors. The division caters cost-effective, durable, sustainable and wide range of labels as well as flexible packaging offerings to F&B clients.

Currently, MBR Flexibles produces 900 to 1000 tons of flexible packaging products every month. The company boasts of a wide portfolio of machines, other than the two Mark Andy machines. 'These two flexographic presses from FIG are best-in-class machines in terms of their significant capacities, performances, values and outputs,' mentioned Sahil.

He added: 'Designed and engineered with upgraded technologies for efficiently handling maximum print width up to 17inch, these two Mark Andy presses are capable of handling all jobs, right from self-adhesive labels to shrink sleeve and in-mould (IML) labels and more.' He further emphasized that the installations of the two Mark Andy presses will allow the company to enhance volume and flexibility in label and flexible packaging printing and production.

FIG has been a long time partner of MBR Flexibles. 'Earlier, we had invested in a number of machines from FIG, which included a Rhyguan Smart 450 slitter-rewinder and others,' shared Sahil. He added: 'We continue our investments in new machines from FIG, such as the two Mark Andy presses because we are happy to partner with them for the quality of products they supply and unprecedented after-sales support they provide.'

To help its customers across India, FIG has a customer support department operating through its main office in Delhi and branches in Mumbai and Chennai. In addition to Mark Andy and Rhyguan, FIG distributes machines from other big international brands like Rotoflex, Kluge, KDS Quantum, Presstek, DYM Machinery, etc.

Backed by a team of 200 printing and production staff, MBR Flexibles is moving ahead for further expansion. Commenting in this regard, Sahil mentioned that their company is buying more machines from FIG to foray into new segments in the market.
