Socipack installs second Nilpeter press
One of the leading Ivory Coast flexible packaging and label converters Socipack has installed the second Nilpeter 22in wide FA-Line press to increase its capacity in preparation for planned expansion across the West African region.
Socipack, created in 2016 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, is currently operating within several plastics segments, including film extrusion, injection, blow molding, and woven sacks. The company was established to produce flexible packaging using a couple of complete CI flexo lines with inline finishing, as well as 5-layer co-extrusion film production machinery.
A fully equipped 8-color Nilpeter FA-6 flexo press was installed in 2017, and immediately after installation, Hassan Abdallah, general manager at Socipack indicated that significant market needs would lead to acquiring a second press in the near future.
In 2019 the company invested in the second Nilpeter 22in FA-Line 10-color press, increasing its capacity needed to meet the growing demand for labels in this region. Currently, Socipack is running the two Nilpeter lines in three shifts.
The converter is also now positioned to implement unique technologies such as holographic effects and high-end finishing. Thanks to its partnership with Nilpeter and BLG International, Socipack has established European manufacturing standards in the local market complete with ambitious expansion plans, possibly venturing into other countries.
