AET Films opens North American customer service center

AET Films has centralized its North American customer service staff in New Castle, Delaware. The company’s new customer service operation began processing orders in the last week of May. Previously, AET had provided customer service and support through regional service centers.

According to Jerry Morris, customer service manager for AET, the company’s previous service model was in place before the internet and email became the platform for instant communications, both with customers and within operating departments of the company. ‘Once, it was important to be near customers and our plant operations to provide quick response and knowledge-based service, but the internet has significantly redirected the path to better customer service,’ says Morris. ‘By centralizing all customer service, AET combines instant internet efficiencies with a bottom-up demand model that continually evaluates customer demand against production output.’

The company maintains inventory at strategically located warehouses to meet its goal of next-day delivery anywhere in North America. Morris says that shipments can now be tracked by satellite to respond to customers’ inquiries within minutes, pinpointing shipments and anticipating delivery times with the utmost accuracy through a new software program that matches product with demand throughout the Americas in order to meet the needs of manufacturers who source from AET.
