Agricultural Printing & Packaging plans major investments
Vietnamese converting company Agricultural Printing & Packaging is planning a series of investments in 2016 that will extend its package printing and converting capabilities.
Agricultural Printing & Packaging produces 500 million cigarette packs a year and self-adhesive labels for the food, confectionery and pharmaceutical industries, as well as supplying aluminum, PVC and BOPP to the converting market. The company operates offset, gravure and flexo presses, as well as a host of carton finishing processes. Agricultural Printing & Packaging supplies its packaging products to the domestic Vietnamese market, and is also developing a healthy export trade. Outside of printing, it has interests in estate management
Recent investments have seen it install a second Gallus EM 410 press line, with both machines equipped with Martin Automatic MBS automated unwind butt splicers.
Agricultural Printing & Packaging has well advanced plans for its next investment, which will be in flexible packaging production with another press due to be installed in the third quarter of 2016, and the company has already confirmed that it will fit automatic splicing at installation. The new press will be housed in a new factory on a 5.2-hectare site, and will employ an additional 250 people.
