Engineering specialist Graphic Solutions (GS) has strengthened its sales team and announced a series of new product lines.

Julius Friedrich has been appointed sales manager. He was previously manager at Edelmann in Beefelden, Germany. In May another salesperson was added to the sales team.

Founded in July 2011 by Sven Friedrich, Graphic Solutions now comprises six product areas.

The digital printing systems division, GS-JET, is a provider of monochrome or CMYK inkjet units, water-based or UV. Standalone machines can be assembled or existing flexo and offset presses can be modified to accept the modular inkjet units.

The industrial energy consulting division focuses on the analysis of production and manufacturing systems, particularly energy management and recovery. Advice is offered on funding programs and the introduction and auditing of energy management systems (DIN EN 16247-1/EN ISO 50001).

At the same time, GS distributes and supports Quint cooling and conditioning systems for dampening solution circulation, as well as drum cooling and UV lamp cooling systems.

The company is also a leading source of used machinery, specializing in complete overhaul and customization where requested.

Further, GS has signed a sales agreement with Edelmann Printing Machines allowing it to sell replacement parts, upgrades and complete roll printing machines. Edelmann’s GS Wefima printing system, for example, can be equipped with the GS-JET digital print module.

The press has a maximum production speed of 500m/min and is available in 520mm and 720mm web widths. By default, it is supplied in a roll-to-roll configuration, but a cross cutter can easily be added, along with options including flexo, hot or cold embossing unit, rotary die-cutting and hologram dispenser.
