AWA details 2014 international sleeve label conference

Next spring’s AWA International Sleeve Label Conference and Exhibition, to be staged at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cincinnati, will be divided into topic-specific sessions covering marketing, design, innovation, materials, application and technologies, and environmental issues.  

The advantages of MD shrink labeling, ink innovation and special effects for shrink films, and rotational spin labels will be discussed in the innovation session, while Klöckner Pentaplast and Accraply will bring their films manufacturing and converting expertise to the materials session.

The environmental session on the second afternoon will bring together speakers from across the value chain, including Campbell’s Soups, PepsiCo, Eastman Chemicals and ExxonMobil Chemical.

Dr William Llewellyn, vice-president and senior consultant at AWA Alexander Watson Associates, will open the two-day conference with a market overview.

As in 2012, the event will also feature a facility tour at Verst Group Logistics to see multiple sleeving production lines in action – including the company’s new high-elasticity stretch sleeve labeler.
