MPS details Open House success
MPS has reported a strong response to its Open House event, where it demonstrated a number of its press technologies and which coincided with drupa 2016.

Demonstrations included the EF multi-substrate, EB label and hybrid flexo/digital EF Symjet presses. The factory tour included presentation of a 28m-long combination press, featuring offset, flexo, gravure and screen, and the largest ever built by MPS.
The EF multi-substrate press was shown running a three-ply multi-layer label in perfect register with speed reaching 120m/min. The EB press ran self-adhesive labels with print on the glue side on 360mm print width material, using delam-relam. Shown were the differences and similarities between the two presses, as the identical image was printed. Operators also changed the substrate on the EF press to a thin 40 micron BOPP mono film to prove its capability to print on any substrate. On the EF Symjet, the advantages of hybrid flexo/digital printing were demonstrated by running a self-adhesive label with cold foil application and a variation in color, utilizing the integrated digital Domino N610i unit.
A private bus brought drupa visitors to Arnhem, were MPS print manager Hans Poortinga also presented advanced workflow integration and efficiency benefits between the Label Traxx MIS/ERP module and AVT 100 percent inspection system.
Aakon Schüssel, sales and marketing director at MPS, said: ‘We are pleased to have had the opportunity to welcome so many visitors from all over the world, who took time during drupa to visit our Technology & Expertise Centre in Arnhem. This Open House surpassed all our expectations.’
During the Open House, MPS confirmed a flexo press order with West-East Meat Group, a new customer in Poland.
