TLMI holds printThink for first time since 2019
The association partnered with AWA for the seminar
TLMI’s printThink Industry Seminar returned this year for the first time since 2019.
Historically, TLMI held this seminar program – called Technical Meeting until a rebranding in 2019 –as a standalone meeting on odd years.
To ‘dip our toe back in,’ said TMLI president Linnea Keen, printThink was held this year in partnership with Alexander Watson Associates. AWA held this seminar alongside two others – the AWA Label Release Liner Seminar and the AWA & AIPIA Smart Labeling Seminar – in Rosemont, Illinois, on Sept 8 and 9, just ahead of Labelexpo Americas 2024 from Sept 10-12, also in Rosemont.
The AWA partnership provided TLMI with support staff as it reintroduces this seminar program, Keen said, as well as greater networking opportunities for participants. Attendees were able to go between seminars for sessions.
The timing with Labelexpo was also beneficial, Keen said, as the audience was already there.
The education the seminar provides brings attendees to Rosemont earlier, Keen noted, so by the first day of Labelexpo, they’re ready to begin.
Topics throughout the printThink seminar included the circular economy, ink and coating technology and artificial intelligence.
Keen said she hopes that attendees leave printThink with knowledge that can help them grow their business.
‘When I used to be in the seat of the supplier and as an attendee, you just always want a little bit of a nugget that can help you with your job,’ Keen said.
thinkPrint is anticipated to return as a standalone seminar in 2025.
