Brazilian converter installs second Mark Andy P7 press

Brazilian converter Prakolar Rótulos Autoadesivos has purchased its second Mark Andy Performance Series P7 press, after installing its first P7 in mid-2011.
Both Mark Andy P7 presses are 250mm (10 inch), 8-color dual servo platform machines capable of combination printing effects such as cold foil, rotary screen, chilled UV curing as well as converting options.
Prakolar, celebrating 45 years in business this year, is one of Brazil’s top label suppliers for pharmaceutical, cosmetics, foodstuff, chemicals, beverages and other industries. The company is a NBR ISO9001/2000 certified business and has also been recognized with awards for flexo printing excellence as well as the Pharma Excellence and Sindusfarma Quality Awards.
In 2011, Mark Andy received two international technical innovation awards for the Performance Series line, recognized for the efficient lock-and-load printing platform that can reportedly reduce material waste by up to 50 percent and save measurable time during set-up and change over. Nearly 150 machines have been sold in 28 countries since its launch.
