Astron upgrades post-press with a Rhyguan machine

The company buys the machine from Flexo Image Graphics, Rhyguan's distributor in the Indian subcontinent.

Ahmedabad, India-based Astron Packaging has upgraded its post-press division by installing a new Rhyguan Top-330 multi-functional label die-cutting machine for IML from Flexo Image Graphics (FIG).      

The new Rhyguan Top-330 at Astron is the third Rhyguan machine from FIG at the Ahmedabad facility. The facility is equipped with two Rhyguan Smart-330 inspection systems with Lustre cameras. FIG has also delivered a Rhyguan Top-330-Plus-2 semi-rotary flexo and die-cutting machine to Astron’s Dubai facility.

According to Roy, the new Rhyguan Top-330 is a good rotary die-cutting equipment for label converters who need productivity and versatility. It is an ideal entry-level solution for IML processing and production. Users can shift from full rotary to semi-rotary, providing quality die-cutting of film materials in small quantities.

Rhyguan Top-330 boasts advanced features and capabilities, such as a web width of 330mm. It can run at the maximum die-cutting speed of 110m/min in full rotary mode and at 60m/min in semi-rotary mode. 

Niraj Darji, president of Astron Packaging, stated that the Rhyguan machine offers excellent precision and productivity. He further noted that all the Rhyguan machines they bought from FIG are cost-effective, easy to use, highly impactful, and efficient in finishing and converting.

Astron's client base includes cold chain suppliers, pharmaceutical, and FMCG companies. The company opened its labeling and folding carton unit in 2008 and keeps upgrading with regular installations of cutting-edge machines and equipment like the Rhyguan Top-330, Mark Andy narrow web flexo printing press, Rotoflex slitter rewinder, and Presstek digital offset printing press from FIG.
