APR Partners with Omet to educate about flexo

‘We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Omet so that attendees at future APR educational events can explore the flexo workflow from prepress output to platemaking and into the pressroom,’ said Catherine Haynes, director of Digital Solutions & Training at APR. 

‘Our Flexo Fundamentals Seminar in March will feature a seven-color fingerprint press run. The need for quality educational and hands-on training far outweighs the few available offerings to flexo converters in the US. Partnering with Omet gives APR the opportunity to take our workshops and seminars to the next level and to ensure attendees have access to hands-on print and troubleshooting opportunities,’ added Haynes.

The first joint seminar, Flexo Fundamentals, will be held at APR Headquarters March 24-25, 2020 and will feature a visit to the Omet facility where a seven-color flexo job will run on the Omet Xjet powered by Durst. The hybrid press system combines an Omet Xflex X6 430 and Durst Tau RSC. APR's Technical Innovation Center also has a variety of platemaking solutions (solvent, water and thermal) in addition to the newest Esko CDI Crystal and XPS UV LED exposure.
