Etifam installs Screen Truepress Label 350UV SAI-E press
Portuguese label converter invests to meet clients’ demand for fast job turnarounds.
Portuguese label converter Etifam has acquired a Screen Truepress Label 350UV SAI-E as part of its strategy to be at the forefront of innovation and offer optimal and cost-efficient digital label print services to its client base.
Founded in 2004 and based in the Famalicão region, Etifam aims to stand out for its innovative nature, commitment to technological equipment and a young and dynamic team.
The company has been growing steadily since its inception and serves a differentiated portfolio of clients in the olive oil and wine sectors, as well as in specialized niches of the cleaning products business.
‘We’re a young company that aspires to always be on the leading edge of the industry, providing the best and newest label printing services to our clients. When we decided to move into digital ink jet label printing, we carefully and critically compared the available options. We chose Screen as it met all our requirements,’ said Alberto Pereira, CEO of Etifam. ‘The Truepress Label 350UV SAI-E was simply the best option in terms of the price-quality ratio.’
According to Pereira, in Portugal, like in other countries, clients increasingly require relatively small editions of labels and expect these to be delivered quickly: ‘This can only be done with digital presses, as these are a cheaper alternative for small print runs and offer excellent, often even better quality than conventional presses. Screen’s technology reduces the waiting time for our customers while providing the same or higher quality than conventional presses.’
Since the company started working with the newly installed press, Pereira has been able to increase profitability, doing more jobs per shift and improving our margins on the smaller runs.
‘We are happy, and so are our customers because we can deliver what they need and within short timeframes. The press is extremely easy to work with. Our operators adapted quickly. From the beginning, the print quality consistency of the SAI press has been better than we could imagine, and we have been able to work with the majority of our traditional substrates without any special treatment or coating,’ concluded Pereira.
