Heinz Jung has retired after a career spanning nearly five decades at slitter rewinder specialist Goebel.
Jung took retirement at the end of April after more than 46 years at the company. He began his career in 1967 with a commercial apprenticeship at Maschinenfabrik Goebel, as the company was known then. After having completed this traineeship, he remained true to the company and undertook on various roles at Goebel throughout his working life, including a leading position in sales. When Goebel Schneid- und Wickelsysteme GmbH was founded in 2001, Jung became the managing director alongside Dr Ralf Enderle, taking on the responsibility of the marketing and sales divisions.
Goebel said both its staff and business partners from around the world valued Jung particularly for his extensive technical and commercial expertise, his customer-centric solutions and dedication to the company.
Enderle said: ‘We would like to thank Heinz Jung for his extraordinary efforts which have had a significant impact on Goebel's successful development. The working relationship with Heinz Jung was always characterised by mutual trust and appreciation. I wish him all the best.’
