In celebration of its 70th anniversary and to showcase its recently opened manufacturing facility, finishing equipment manufacturer A B Graphic International (ABG) hosted a three-day open house event from Oct 8-10. During the open house, the company saw more than 150 customers from 16 countries, conducted 294 machine demonstrations and held 42 factory tours.
Having assembled in York, guests were transported to ABG’s new manufacturing facility at Kelleythorpe, Driffield in England. There, a factory tour highlighted a variety of machinery. ABG also demonstrated recently launched technology such as the fourth-generation Converter and Vectra AutoSet Turret Rewinder, as well as the SRI3 and ABG’s own camera inspection system fleyeVision. The tour continued at ABG’s Carnaby headquarters, where visitors were introduced to developments in Digicon Series 3 technology, featuring the new automatic matrix stripping, fast track die and flexo technology. Other technology on display included ABG’s DigiLase digital laser die-cutting machine and DigiJet for digital embellishment.
The event also featured a dinner and networking opportunity celebrating ABG’s history from 1954 to the present.
Zenna Parfaniuk, managing director of The Label Makers, a long-time ABG customer, said: 'ABG and The Label Makers share a long history, and it was fantastic to be part of both ABG’s 70th anniversary celebrations and witness their latest innovations. The new Kelleythorpe site is impressive, and in true ABG style, they made sure we were looked after from start to finish. It’s clear that their commitment to advancing technology continues to shape the future of the industry.'
Simon Nadin, ABG’s CEO designate, said: 'Celebrating 70 years is a tremendous landmark for ABG, and it was a privilege to mark this achievement alongside our valued customers. This event showcased how we are continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and design, enhancing our capabilities to deliver greater efficiency and productivity. It truly reflected our vision of driving progress together and we look forward to many more milestones in the future.'
