Green Bay Packaging extends capabilities with acquisition
Green Bay Packaging has acquired Great Lakes Packaging Corporation and Midland Container Corporation, collectively known as MidCon, from investment company MidCon Holdings.
The acquisition is effective October 31, with the deal designed to strength Green Bay Packaging's point-of-purchase printing and display capabilities.
Green Bay Packaging operates 28 locations across the US and Mexico where it manufacture high-quality products used for a wide variety of retail packaging and labeling applications.
Green Bay Packaging president and chief executive officer Will Kress said: ‘MidCon is a perfect fit geographically, strategically and, most importantly, from a leadership and cultural approach to their business. The acquisition allows us to grow our company, adding two organizations that have an excellent reputation for service and quality, and who run their operations with a similar business philosophy as ours.’
Green Bay Packaging executive vice-president Bryan Hollenbach added: ‘The MidCon acquisition strengthens our point-of-purchase printing and display capabilities, broadens our reach into new markets, and provides us the potential to expand our presence with current customers. It also provides us with a dedicated workforce under great management.’
