MPS has appointed OMC as representative in Spain and Portugal
OMC, a family business celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, is an exclusive distributor of brands of printing machinery, ancillary equipment and consumables in Spain and Portugal serving commercial as well as label and packaging printers.

Niels van Groenendaal, regional sales director of MPS, said: ‘The Spanish label market is extremely competitive for label converters where demands from end customers and pressure on margins are continuously increasing. Working with a strong local partner as OMC will help us be closer to our customers. Together, we can help customers exceed their requirements and always stay one step ahead of the competition.’

MPS offers automated and connected flexo, hybrid and offset printing presses. Through collection and analysis of performance data through MPSConnect and Performance Programs, customers can achieve the best performance and maximum return from their printing press.

David López, KAM Label Division of OMC said: ‘As an active player in the printing industry, we recognized the need to partner with a strong flexo player. Our prospects are looking for alternative printing technologies to fulfil their production needs and branch into new markets. MPS’ innovative technologies and machinery perfectly fits with our sales and technical goals. It is the ideal offering to have in our label printing portfolio.’

‘OMC has an excellent reputation based on knowledge, technical support, and helping customers gain the most from their production machines. This aligns perfectly with MPS’ strategy to not just be a machine supplier, but help our customers improve their productivity through data-driven intelligence and the highest quality printing presses,’ van Groenendaal added.

Javier Rodríguez, technical director of OMC, explained: ‘We want to help our customers be more efficient in their flexo label printing production. MPS has the technologies and a proven know-how; OMC has a deep understanding of the market and a strong technical support team. We see our collaboration as a natural symbiosis between an innovative manufacturer and a reliable distribution partner.’

MPS Systems is returning to Labelexpo Europe 2022 in Brussels, April 26-29, showing its continued commitment to the label industry. The event will also see MPS emphasize its ‘Connect to Grow’ brand, introduce its EF next generation press in the Automation Arena, and celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Atze Bosma, CEO of MPS, said: ‘As the label industry continues to face numerous challenges, it remains increasingly important to stay in close contact with our customers and partners to strengthen each other and Connect to Grow together. Labelexpo Europe is ideal to do just that.’

Labelexpo visitors will find MPS in the Automation Arena and its neighboring stand 7A45.
