Michelman and Syntax sign DigiPrime/DigiGuard distribution agreement in China
Michelman has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Beijing-based Syntax Technology for DigiPrime digital printing primers and DigiGuard overprint varnishes in China.
Under the agreement, Syntax will assume sole distribution responsibilities for Michelman’s DigiPrime and DigiGuard line. DigiPrime and DigiGuard are formulated for use with HP Indigo digital presses. DigiPrime primers are designed to improve ink receptivity, rub resistance and image quality on most types of paper, plastic, metallic and film substrates. DigiGuard products enhance print quality and protect printed materials.
With over 600 installations, Syntax is the largest global distributors of HP Indigo presses, and is one of the first companies to bring digital printing technology to China. Founded in 1999, Syntax became the chief distributor for HP Indigo presses in 2002 and continues to provide the Chinese market with high-end digital printing solutions. The company has branch offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, and provides its customers with sales, service, technical support, supplies, and training.
Steven Wong, Michelman vice president and managing director for the Asia-Pacific region, said: ‘With the rapid development of the Chinese digital printing market, this distribution agreement will allow us to most effectively support our growing customer base across the country. As the sole distributor of HP Indigo presses in China, Syntax’s resources and customer support structure is unparalleled, and allows us to continue to provide our customers the world-class quality they have come to expect from Michelman.’
