A&A Labels invests in Multitec and Vinsak

A&A Labels already operates a 13in-wide slitter rewinder from Vinsak, which was installed at its facility earlier this month

Saurabh Jain, director of A&A Labels, said: ‘The new label slitter rewinder enables us to improve the quality of slitting while reducing the labour challenges. It operates at a high speed of 300m/min as compared to other slitting machines in our factory that run at 35-40m/min, thereby increasing productivity.’

The 17in-wide LSR 440 is equipped with an inspection camera for defect detection and runs at a speed of 300m/min. Other features of the machine include pneumatic expanding rewind mandrel, independently driven and variable for both speed and tension control; pneumatic 76mm unwind mandrel with pneumatic brake tension control; electronic web guidance system with ultrasonic sensor. The machine comes with optional equipment features such as off-line knife setting fixture, missing label detection, flag and splice detection, auto disengage knife and box upgrade and a choice of single or twin rotary die-cutting stations.

Other machines at A&A Labels include two each of Mark Andy and Donghai presses. The production floor will have a total of three Multitec presses after the Ecoflex from the show floor is installed at their facility.

Jain said: ‘We are evaluating purchase of a digital plate making equipment from Dupont, auto plate cleaning system from Memory and fully loaded 17in-wide flexo press from either Gidue or Omet.’
