Kodak signs Techno Graphic Services as channel partner

Kodak has signed Techno Graphic Services as its channel partner for Kodak Prosper systems.

As part of the agreement, Techno Graphic Services will become an authorized Kodak sales partner in pan-India and will begin working with its network of regional printing businesses who are seeking hybrid printing systems.

Kodak has also completed the installation of Kodak Flexcel NX system at the newly inaugurated Cherlapally unit of Digiflex, a Hyderabad-based pre-press business. 
 
The inauguration was followed by an Open House at Digiflex which was visited by over 300 packaging and printing professionals from the Hyderabad industry, along with members of the Government Institute of Printing Technology in Secundarabad.
 
The Flexcel NX MID System at Digiflex uses Kodak Squarespot imaging technology at an optical resolution of 10,000dpi to produce digital flexo plates that enable a broader tonal range, use of higher line screens, more efficient ink transfer and higher quality.
 
 ‘We supplied Kodak NX samples to some clients on a trial basis and received an encouraging response following which we decided to establish a fully automated unit in Hyderabad to cater to the Indian market,’ Muralidhar said. ‘This is the only unit of its kind in the Andhra Pradesh and Telengana region. With this addition, we expect phenomenal growth in the next couple of years.’ 
 
Shyam Sunder, a partner at Digiflex, said: ‘Kodak’s portfolio of Flexcel NX System solutions is ideal for virtually every flexo application including flexibles, labels and corrugated.’
 
Digiflex will further strengthen its packaging services by combining the Kodak Flexcel NX system with a Glunz & Jensen Degraf 302 EDLF exposure unit and 305P processor. In addition, DigiFlex is integrating the Kodak Prinergy workflow to create a highly efficient operating environment. The software will help deliver higher levels of accuracy and efficiency in the print production cycle, increasing quality control, reducing manual touch points and lowering the cost of production.
