Stratus Doo invests in first Lemorau machine in Montenegro

Label converter invests in MICR3 to enhance its production capacities and quality.

Stratus Doo, one of the leading label converters in Montenegro, has acquired Lemorau MICR3 450mm, a modular inspection, slitter and rewinder machine, marking the first installation in the country for the Portuguese manufacturer.

The modular concept of MICR3 allows customers to incorporate a wide range of features, such as a die-cutting or an inkjet printing system.

The Montenegrin converter opted for a bespoke design of its MICR3 for Stratus, which was developed with a 450mm web width. The customer chose to add several optional modules, such as a die-cutting unit equipped with speed pack, a tool enabling the machine to reach the maximum speed of 80m/min in semi-rotary mode. Stratus Doo also opted for pressure gauges, easy strip waste rewinder and air trim removal, clear-on-clear sensor, antistatic bar and razor knives unit.

Furthermore, Stratus Doo future-proofed the machine by adding a designated space to incorporate an inkjet printing system and an inspection system later.

‘We would like to thank the Lemorau team for its professionalism, efficiency and outstanding support throughout the process,’ said Balša Vrbica, CTO at Stratus. ‘At the Labelexpo Europe in Brussels, we agreed on all the machine's specifications, which perfectly matched our needs. The installation went smoothly thanks to Lamourau’s expert guidance and attention to detail, and the machine was immediately put into operation.

‘This collaboration has been very important for us, and we proudly emphasize that the Lemorau MICR3 is the ideal machine for our needs. It allows us to enhance our production capacities and the quality of our products. We look forward to continued cooperation and believe this project will pave the way for even more successful future partnerships. Thank you, Lemorau team, for enabling us to achieve this important step in our business.’

The installation was managed by Dekor Art Doo, Lemorau’s agent in Serbia.
