KBA returns to Koenig & Bauer
German machine manufacturer KBA has returned to its roots with reintroduction of the Koenig & Bauer brand.
The company, which recently celebrated its 200th anniversary, has taken the move to reinforce its position in the global printing industry, and to provide a common identity under which to bring together the group’s many activities. The name KBA was introduced in 1990 following the takeover of Albert-Frankenthal.
Koenig & Bauer CEO Claus Bolza-Schünemann explained: ‘Koenig & Bauer today has 33 subsidiaries, with 12 of them producing their own products for their own customers. We see the company anniversary as an ideal time to place all activities of the group, from classic printing to digital printing – including pre- and post-press and top service – under a strong common roof again.’
