UPM Raflatac launches white plant-based PE film for home and personal care applications

RafBio PE White performs as a standard PE film would, according to UPM Raflatac, with flexibility that makes it suited to use on squeezable bottles and contoured containers that are widely used in home and personal care applications.

Part of the RafBio family of bio-based labeling products, RafBio PE White, and RafBio PE Clear, are made from sugarcane ethanol and contain more than 80 percent renewable plant-based raw material. They are recyclable within the same recycling streams as fossil-based PE.

They are suited for customers who are looking for sustainable film face materials that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions during their life cycle, compared to conventional PE, while still maintaining product appearance.

RafBio PE films are combined with UPM Raflatac’s RP37 adhesive for multi-purpose labeling applications. Furthermore, UPM Raflatac's RafCycle program turns waste into valuable resources.
