PCMC launches Fusion C CI flexo press to target short runs

Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) has developed Fusion Compact (Fusion C), a smaller version of its established CI flexo press family, to target short runs.

Fusion C is an extension of PCMC's existing CI flexo press family

PCMC’s existing range of wide web, high speed flexo presses, Fusion and FusionMAX, offer 8- and 10-color printing, in widths up to 75in (1905mm). They feature energy and time saving features, including automatic drum cleaning and automatic impression setting. Fusion presses also feature low power consumption components, designs and operations to reduce their energy requirements.

Fusion C has been developed using the existing features of the series, but offers a maximum web width of 42in (1040mm), a 12-30in repeat range and a printing speed of 1,000ft/min (305m/min). It also has a smaller footprint, at 44ft in length, 19ft wide and 14ft high.

‘Our new Fusion C press was created from listening to our clients’ changing needs,’ said Rich Rogals, sales director at PCMC. ‘The Fusion C addresses today’s pressures of running short-run work.

‘The Fusion C will be a tremendous tool for the print industry and I am thrilled to offer this to our customers.  As with all of our products, PCMC offers a superior level of technical service, support and training, making an implementation completely seamless.’

The first Fusion C will begin production in January, and PCMC plans to have an open house to demonstrate the new machine in late July.
