Dekel succeeds Shumaker at AVT's US subsidiary

Print inspection specialist Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) has named Amir Dekel as president of its US-based subsidiary.

Dekel, who is based in AVT’s Atlanta offices, will manage all activities in North and Latin America including sales, marketing and customer support.

He replaces Lance Shumaker, who is leaving the company.

Dekel (pictured, top) has been with AVT since 2001, and had been vice-president of marketing prior to this promotion. He served in this role for four years, leading AVT’s worldwide exposure and awareness campaigns, and developing a reputation for meeting and exceeding business goals.

He said: ‘I am honored to be named president, and am grateful for the leadership Lance Shumaker has displayed throughout my tenure here at AVT. He set a high standard, and I look forward to building upon and expanding the company’s strong presence in North and Latin America as AVT continues to introduce new and enhanced product solutions for print inspection, process control, quality assurance and color control.’

Shlomo Amir, president and chief executive officer of AVT, said: ‘Amir Dekel is an outstanding manager, and successfully led the company marketing activities for the last four years. I am confident he will have a tremendous contribution in his new role.

‘Lance Shumaker has done an outstanding job as president of AVT Inc. I thank Lance Shumaker for his dedicated service for the company over the past 15 years and his significant contribution to AVT's success and wish him at any time great success.’
