Goss names new CEO
- Nichols heads new-look board structure

- To “propel company to new level of performance, to meet and exceed...strategic goals”

Goss International has named Richard Nichols as chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, replacing Jochen Meissner.

Nichols has been appointed as Goss International restructures its management board. It said the Goss management team, headed by Nichols, will undertake “active and effective measures to stabilize and expand the Goss leadership position in the industry”.

Meissner has been with Goss for nearly a decade, serving as chief operating officer for six years before taking on the role of CEO.

Nichols is the former president of global construction machinery supplier Terex Cranes.

Nichols left Terex Cranes in February 2011 in order to "pursue other opportunities", and states he is 'an experienced, results focused, senior international executive with a high-impact record of building, growing and turning around global businesses across an array of commercial and industrial segments' on his LinkedIn profile.

Shanghai Electric Group, Goss’ parent organization, said that the impact of the financial crisis will subside and the development of the world economy will bring new opportunities.

Shanghai Electric said it has confidence in Goss and the printing industry, and expects Goss to be an even stronger industry leader in the future.
