- Edwards is president of the digital printing and enterprise group, with responsibility for packaging and other areas
Eastman Kodak has elected Douglas Edwards as a senior vice president of the company, effective immediately.
Edwards is president of the digital printing and enterprise group, a position to which he was named when Kodak re-aligned its management last month.
His responsibilities include packaging, functional printing, electrophotographic solutions, inkjet printing solutions, the Kodak service business, consumer inkjet systems and Design2Launch.
Prior to being named to his current post, Edwards was general manager of the pre-press solutions business. He joined Kodak in 2005 when the company acquired full control of a former joint venture with Sun Chemical. Edwards managed research and development for the joint venture.
Earlier in his career, he held senior positions in marketing, manufacturing and research for Zeneca Specialties and ICI Colors & Fine Chemicals.
Perez confidence
He will report to Kodak chairman and chief executive officer Antonio Perez, who said: ‘Doug’s election to this post is recognition of his leadership skills.
‘Moreover, it is an indication of the confidence we have in him to lead one of the two major businesses around which we will build the future of Kodak.’
Kodak has already stated the importance of packaging to its future, with Perez saying as such at Drupa in May.
