Meech makes double appointment

Meech International has appointed Scott Cook and Paul Levene to the company’s  team, as it continues its year of growth after investment in its international headquarters.

Cook joins as production manager, with Levene a web cleaning specialist respectively.

The appointment of Cook (pictured, right) as production manager ties in directly with Meech’s objective to increase manufacturing capacity and provide assistance to its existing production team. He has a background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities for Cook will be improving production methods and processes, as well as implementing associated projects.

Levene has a background in mechanical engineering and experience as Meech’s northern area sales manager, promoting the company’s full range of static control equipment. In his new role will focus mainly on the technical sales of web cleaners within the UK and Ireland.

The latest additions to the team coincide with recent premises expansion, marking a year of significant growth for the Oxfordshire-based business.

The company has leased an additional building located very close to its head office. This 4000 sq ft property will be employed primarily as the main production facility for Meech web cleaners, IonRinse and JetStream product ranges. Additionally space in the new building will be allocated to general research and development of all Meech products, including static control and Meech Air Technology ranges.

Levene (pictured, left) said: ‘The expansion of Meech’s web cleaning division is very timely, as advances in print technology have seen an increase in specialized, sensitive and intelligent film substrates.

‘This development, coupled with an increasing demand for defect-free products by end users, can potentially impact a converter’s bottom line profit.

‘Feedback from the market place has been very positive and I’m excited to be a part of this growing venture.’

As well as these two appointments, Meech has created new positions across numerous departments, including sales, accounts and manufacturing.

Iain Cameron, international product manager, said: ‘It is an exciting time of expansion for the company, and both Paul and Scott have already proved to be valuable assets to our business.

‘We are very confident they will continue to excel in their respective roles and, along with the rest of our new recruits, help us maintain the high level of quality that customers have come to expect from the Meech brand.’
