The Sihl Group has appointed Peter Washner as a new CEO who takes over the management, focusing on further development of the group.

Washner has extensive industry and management experience. Previously, he was the CEO of the Indiana Group, a producer of specialty films. After a successful spin-off from the Finnish packaging group Huhtamaki and with the financial support of the investor Deutsche Beteiligungs, Infiana developed under his leadership into one of the market leaders with 900 employees and a turnover of about EUR 200 million.

Before Infiana, he held leading positions at Huhtamaki, the British packaging company Rexam, General Electric Plastics and BASF for several years. During his career, he has spent time in the Netherlands, the UK, and the USA.
