Program announced for Label Summit Latin America 2013

Label Summit Latin America 2013 returns to Brazil in May, and will tackle global trends, the latest technologies, product enhancing features and investment opportunities for business growth.
Taking place at the Hotel Transamérica in Sao Paulo, Brazil on May 14-15, highlights from day one include a keynote presentation from Maurício Médici, general manager of UPM Raflatac Brazil, who will summarize global trends, highlight the main challenges facing converters and anticipate future trends.
Other presentations include Fabián Silva of Innovo F&H and Xeikon’s Patrick Pittoors, who will examine how to make digital printing more affordable. Fernando Gabel of Baumgarten Gráfica will share best practices to make your company more sustainable.
The second day opens with Diageo’s supply chain director for Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil, Marcelo Pimenta, underlining the promotional label opportunities available for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games. Pimenta will look at how to add value to your product offering, nurture commercial partnerships and offer specialty products.
Hernán Braberman of Tridimage will cover developing unique label and structural packaging concepts, including a roundup of the latest design trends and 3D branding case studies, while Viña Ventisquero’s Nicholas R Farias Torres will give an overview of the role of Latin American converters in wine labeling.
Tasha Ventimiglia, event director for Label Summit Latin America, said: ‘This year’s event promises to engage delegates, deliver ample networking time and gain valuable industry intelligence from contemporaries and business leaders.
‘Whether you’re a brand owner or label printer, this is a cost-effective learning opportunity because the content has been designed to address the challenges facing the sector, while guiding and sharing easy ways to capitalize on growth opportunities like next year’s World Cup, through real-life case studies and technical presentations.’
Early bird rates are available until April 16, with two-day passes costing from R$500. One day passes cost R$450, and exhibition-only tickets retail at R$50.
Delegates can register to attend at www.labelsummit.com/brazil.
