Domino launches K300 compact monochrome UV inkjet printer

The company launches a new monochrome inkjet printer and showcases a wide range of equipment, including N730i and N610i presses and K600i bar.

Domino runs live demonstrations of the N730i and N610i digital UV inkjet presses, as well as the K600i dual-bar digital UV inkjet printer. The company also launches K300, a compact monochrome UV inkjet printer.

Domino N730i digital UV inkjet, 1,200 DPI label press features the BitStar print head technology offering printing speeds of up to 230 ft/min (70 m/min). It is configurable in up to seven colors (CMYKOVW) covering 92 percent of the Pantone range, and white prints with 76 percent opacity. This machine also features ergonomic design with automated roll lifts at the unwind and rewind, supporting media rolls up to 40in (1m) in diameter. The optional flexo priming station (pre-digital) helps to optimize print quality on difficult media types, and the optional flexo station (post-digital) supports varnishing, brand spot color or flood white for shrink sleeve applications. The N730i is available in roll-to-roll or hybrid configurations.

Domino N610i digital UV inkjet, 600 DPI label press is available in up to seven colors (CMYKOVW) covering 92 percent of the Pantone range in roll-to-roll and hybrid configurations. It supports 40in (1m) rolls and 13.3in and 17in web widths. It offers high opacity white at 72 percent and prints from 164 ft/min (50 m/min) up to 230 ft/min (70 m/min).

Also on show will be Domino K600i dual bar, a high-speed monochrome UV inkjet printer that integrates onto flexo presses, rewinders and finishing systems for variable data printing (VDP) at up to 492 fpm. The machine accommodates print widths between 4.25in (108mm) and 30.81in (782mm). Applications for VDP include anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, consumer engagement, e-commerce, food safety, inventory control, logistics and reverse logistics, loyalty and promotional program and track and trace.  It can print serial, batch, random or pin numbers, alpha numeric characters, variable images, linear barcodes, 2D matrix or QR codes.

The company will be also launching Domino K300, a compact monochrome UV inkjet printer that integrates onto flexo presses, rewinders and finishing systems, offering printing speeds of up to 410 ft/min (125 m/min) at 600 DPI dpi, or 820 ft/min (250 m/min) at 300 DPI. The K300 is suitable for VDP in late-stage customization such as unique codes, 2D, or QR codes. The machine features print width of 2.13in (54.1mm) with one printing station, or 4.26in (108.2mm) with two printing stations.

At Labelexpo, Domino K600i and K300 will be integrated on a Mark Andy Pro Series flexo press, to illustrate how high-speed variable data can be added to flexo printed labels.

Domino will also debut Sunrise DFE with the latest enhancements. It is designed specifically for single-pass inkjet devices to offer improved workflow efficiency and increased uptime without interruption to production, including the ability for real-time data ripping. This will run on all the Domino booth's digital printing stations.

Lake Image Systems, a Domino Group Company, will also have experts and technology in the Domino booth, including the Domino R-MultiScan inspection and monitoring camera system shown on the N730i.

In the booth's ‘Experience the Domino Difference’ area, attendees will be invited to learn more about Domino Digital Solutions programs, Sunrise DFE, Domino service and support, OEM partners and more.

Domino will also be presenting at the Labelexpo ‘Innovation Stage’ in booth 2043 on Tuesday, September 10, at 3:00pm announcing new products. Michael Matthews, Domino global product manager will be also sharing full details and future roadmap of the company.

The show visitors can also visit Mark Andy booth 319 to see the DSiQ-R integrated on a Mark Andy 2200 flexo press. The DSiQ-R utilizes the Domino N610i digital UV inkjet print engine providing a retrofittable platform that enables label converters to add digital for hybrid printing capabilities.
