Cambridge Label installs GM converting equipment
Canada-based converter Cambridge Label has installed a L330 laser cutter and ETV330 sheeter from GM.
The company had previously installed DC330Mini and FB330 converting machines from the Denmark-headquartered manufacturer.
‘Based on our confidence in the quality of GM equipment, we decided to acquire two new models,’ said Cambridge Label president and owner Terry Sinclair. ‘We are proud to say that we are the first label company in Canada to receive this innovative new equipment,’ he added, speaking about the GM laser cutting system.
The GM L330 laser unit features a digital and automatic 3D focus and power control system to eliminate the problem of a start-up hole burn. The laser has an optional barcode reader for quick changeover and integration into Esko pre-press systems. It comes as a standard plug-in module for GM converting systems, but can also be integrated into any other rotary web-fed machine.
The ETV330 sheeter features a touch display setting of label quantity per sheet and other job information, an unwind mandrel with separate motor, and automatic register control.
