Delga upgrades to HP Indigo 15K Digital Press
UK-based converter expands its production capabilities to include printing materials lower than 130gsm.
UK-based packaging and labels specialist Delga has upgraded its existing HP Indigo to the latest HP Indigo 15K which, since installation, has given the company increased flexibility due to the wider substrate weight configuration.
Delga, which has been trading for over six decades, is part of Meliora Group, a group of print companies that offers bespoke printed labels, cartons and commercial print for a wide range of customers.
The Indigo 15K is the next-generation press, offering managing multiple jobs with a single press and seven ink stations enabling unlimited color combinations, featuring 14 application-specific inks and unlimited spot colors.
The installation of the Indigo 15K has ensured that Delga can now print material lower than 130gsm in B2 format, with its digital print capabilities significantly enhanced, with the capability to print in B3 and B2 format, on up to 600-micron folding box board and labels.
Ian Conetta, managing director at Delga, commented: ‘Our relationship with HP has continued to thrive and develop over the years. This installation means that we have now taken nine HP printing presses in total as an organization.
‘There is no comparison to the quality, that is a given - but the support mechanism behind that quality is quite unique. That has enabled our business to stay ahead of the curve in delivering a USP to our customer base that is unrivalled.’
