PrintMyStuff installs Insignia die-cutter

California based PrintMyStuff adds Insignia6H die-cutter eliminating outsourcing of packaging

California based PrintMyStuff has added Insignia6H die-cutter eliminating outsourcing of packaging.

Serving Southern California’s Inland Empire since 1968, PrintMyStuff designs and produces customized print, mail, signs, labels, packaging. PrintMyStuff is the one-stop resource for local agencies, public entities, and businesses in need of printing and marketing support services.

Seeing an increased demand for packaging items, and after analyzing its mounting outsourcing costs for die-cutting, Sam Tracy, owner and president of operations at PrintMyStuff, recognized the Insignia 6H would be an asset to the company’s production line, by eliminating the costly outsourcing of die-cutting and finishing.

Tracy found the versatility of the Insignia to be appealing over other standard die-cutters because of the thicker substrate and larger sheet size capabilities that the IS6H offers. ‘The IS6H cuts thick material for cartons and boxes rather than just cardstock and with the ability to run larger sheet sizes, the 20x20 imposition gives us more room with layouts – both are important features of the IS6H.’

Tracy added: ‘The addition of the Insignia is part of our larger plans for expansion into new, underserved markets. We’re making higher-end services, like packaging and die-cutting, more approachable to a wider base of new and existing customers by consolidating workflow within our own production centers.’

The Insignia Series of die-cutters include die-cutting, kiss-cutting, embossing, perforating, scoring, creasing, and hole punching as standard with any Insignia model, and can run in-line with Rollem’s folding/gluing unit. The Insignia6 model (sheet size 20x20in) cuts up to 24 pt thickness and offers the ability of feeding the sheet either landscape or portrait. IS6 will cut product, strip the waste material, and feed cut products directly into a folder/gluer unit for ‘printed sheet to folded/glued box’ production.
