Iwata Label opens Innovation Park
Japanese label producer Iwata Label has opened its new production facility in Ichinomiya, Aichi prefecture, as it seeks to respond to market and customer needs.

Construction on the new Iwata Label Innovation Park started last year. It is now open, delivering a significant improvement in productivity, whilst allowing Iwata Label to respond to demanding global requirements for quality. It also strengthens the organization’s risk management objectives.
The facility houses four letterpress printing presses, five intermittent letterpress machines, punching machines and inspection equipment. Also, a unique printing press supports laminating while printing, delivering high value-added labels. The 6,867 sqm factory floor further includes automated warehousing and state-of-the-art security, as well as climate, pressure and pest control.
Iwata Label identified that the Japanese pharmaceutical industry is a growing multibillion dollar industry, presently being driven by Japan’s ageing population and world-class technology.
Innovation Park will drive the continued growth of Iwata Label, including into new markets, both domestic and overseas, while strengthening the organization’s capability to respond to high quality requirements with a view to the global market.
