Dutch press manufacturer MPS has named Chimeng Packaging as its agent in Taiwan, further extending its presence across Asia.
With over 15 years of experience in the flexo and gravure printing industry, Chimeng Packaging provides high quality printing machines, anilox rolls, consumables, quality inspection equipment and a strong technical team. In addition to MPS flexo, offset, and hybrid press technology, Chimeng Packaging represents domestic and overseas partners including Amica inkjet, SEI Laser, Sandon Anilox and other ancillary products for the label and packaging printing industry.
George Tan, MPS area sales manager, commented: ‘Chimeng Packaging speaks the label and packaging language very well and has developed strong relations with local printers. Building transparent partnerships with their customers to improve printing quality, consistency, and enhance profitability is their primary objective.
‘Taiwan is a unique market with a very high print quality requirement, with effective productivity and cost efficiency as critical success factors. With our operator-focused technology, MPS matches the requirement.’
Chimeng Packaging will receive formal technical training at the Technology & Expertise Centre at MPS headquarters in Arnhem, the Netherlands along with two recently hired MPS engineers for Asia.
Tim Klappe, MPS managing director, Asia-Pacific, stated: ‘We are focusing our efforts on business development through supporting our existing agent network and increasing local representation.’
MPS has recently made a number of investments in the region, most notably by establishing an office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Other recently appointed MPS representatives in the Asia-Pacific region include Intercom Trade Services in Pakistan and IDG in Indonesia. MPS also has long-term partnerships with Genius Flexo Machinery in India and Bangladesh, Maxteq in Australia and Nekkorb in New Zealand.
