OKI announces leadership change in Southeast Asia
OKI has appointed Akio Kotake as its new president of OKI Systems Thailand and managing director of OKI Data Singapore.
Previously based in Japan, Kotake was responsible for overseeing OKI’s printer business in Asia and Oceania. Before joining OKI, he worked overseas for 14 years, holding roles in the USA as a marketing manager and several senior positions in the USA, Mexico, and China. Kotake brings with him a wealth of experience that would benefit OKI stakeholders within this region.
His predecessor, Masahiko Tsuda, who led both companies through transformations in business product focus amongst several notable accomplishments, will return to Japan after four years in Southeast Asia.
‘I am very excited at this new opportunity to lead OKI’s business in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. Mr Tsuda has successfully steered our business through major changes in the product lines. I am confident that we will remain an industry leader thanks to our first-class office and industry products. I now look forward to growing our region’s business in this fast-changing digital environment,’ commented Kotake.
