Prolamina makes senior appointments

Matt Conlin and Paul Schabow have joined packaging market newcomer Prolamina as it looks to grow its pouch agenda.  Conlin joins as vice president of sales while Schabow takes on the role of vice president of procurement.
 
Prolamina said Conlin has extensive experience in the flexible packaging industry and specific expertise in flexible stand-up pouches and high-performance rollstock laminations.  He joins from Ampac Packaging, where he was national accounts manager. Conlin founded Saborosa Foods, a producer of shelf stable natural beef products for the food service industry processed in retort pouches.
 
Schabow joins Prolamina with over 16 years of procurement leadership experience with strong global sourcing expertise and vast petrochemical industry knowledge in the flexible packaging and plastics industry.  He recently worked at Hospira as the global sourcing manager for resins/plastics where he managed all global film, tubing and resin purchases for its packaging and internal manufacturing requirements. Prior to Hospira, he was a manager at Alcan Packaging.
