API Foils increases sales and distribution capacity
API Foils has opened a sales and distribution center in Sheffield, UK for its decorative foils to work alongside its existing manufacturing and distribution facility in Livingstone, Scotland.
The new center currently holds around four million square metres of foil across the full product range – hot, cold, pigment and holographic foil. API Foils has also invested in new machinery for spooling, cutting and slitting foil at the site to improve finishing lead times for UK customers.
The new Sheffield site is one of a number of large investments planned for the business over the next 12 months as it seeks to strengthen its position in the UK and across Europe.
API Foils managing director Will Oldham said: ‘As we expand and see our market grow, we have invested in our infrastructure and customer support to ensure that we can continue to meet our customer’s demand.
‘Our aim is to deliver the best service in the industry through local support and practical technical expertise. We will help our customers optimise the use of our products at every stage of their process from design, through application to after sales service and ongoing development.’
API Foils UK national sales and distribution manager Mark Gilbert said: ‘This is a significant investment by API to further improve our customer service in the UK.
‘While we will retain slitting capacity and stock at our Livingston manufacturing site, we can now provide our full product range and finishing capability from Sheffield, which will improve the service we can offer our UK customers.
‘We have also expanded our customer service team in both Sheffield and Livingston and have made it easier for customers to contact us by using just one number and email address.’
